Lipid droplets detection

Lipid Accumulation

Images from an experiment run with a DHM microscope where the kinetics of lipid droplet accumulation in 3T3-L1 cells is monitored. The lipid accumulation is clearly visible in the adipocyte through DHM technology: lipid droplets are makerd red by the segmenation algorithm. The data extracted from phase images allows the precise quantification of lipid accumulation kinetics.
Results obtained in the context of the Walonia Region BioWin Bioline project. Holograms have been acquired with a DHM microscope by Pr. Martine Raes team (URBC-Narilis-UNamur) and processed by Pr. Frank Dubois (Microgravity Research Centre - Université libre de Bruxelles).
